My Tiny Miracle And A Message

Through all my thoughts at one, two and three in the morning, I cling to my rosaries and pray.  Jesus died for all to give us hope and let us know in life and in death, the beautiful miracle of everlasting love is always there no matter where we are in the world.  Just as anyone who passes away, is not too far away.

As Joseph Alfred Riguzzi Turns 21

How could I NOT write about this milestone? I can’t … so out of semi-retirement, I come. Perhaps, out of my winter funk is more accurate, but whichever, this is all about Joseph Alfred Riguzzi, gifted to me by God on a beautiful Easter morning too many years ago.

What’s In A Number? Today I am 58…

I woke up at 9:15 this morning. I already know nobody is home, so I laid in bed for a while. At 9:40, I headed downstairs to an empty house and made myself a cup of coffee in total peace and quiet. Today, I am 58.

An Ask Sandy Response

A couple of weeks ago, I had a reader write in to ask me a question on my Ask Sandy. Unfortunately, there was no return email address and I could not respond directly.

Listening and Learning Through the Sadness

What a week! I am not going to lie, it had some great moments, but the sad definitely outweighed the good. I am not going to be very uplifting, but I am going to share a few things that I learned and do a bit of venting. It has to be done. It has to be repeated over and over to those in the back who can’t seem to hear. Or the people in the front standing at the pulpit who choose not to.

My Children: The Greatest Mother’s Day Gift

My God … how blessed I am! Here I sit at my desk, looking out the window, reflecting on where my five children are in their lives today. It is with great pride that I can say they are all doing wonderfully. I don’t know what tomorrow will bring, but today, I celebrate.

My Easter Inspiration and Blessing

At 10:45 pm, my son, Artie, asked me if I was going to write a blog. My response was nope – taking the week off. That prompted me to go back and read my last two Easter blogs. They were a couple of my favorites because I had an inspiration. They are both about Joe, my beautiful Easter blessing and let’s face it, he is one of my biggest inspirations.

The Damn Virus, Humanity, and Living Life

It has been a bit of a crazy week around my neck of the woods. Ten minutes away from where I live seems to be a ground zero for this damn virus. Sorry for the curse, but darn is not a strong enough adjective.
