My Little Bubble …

Life is stressful enough, right? I consider myself to be a normal person. Typical girl with an interesting back story, a survivor of past circumstances, hard worker, life learner, mom of many … always trying to find a balance between three jobs, exercise, family, friends and also have some peace. It isn’t always easy, but I am going to let you in on a big part of keeping my sanity.

Happy Birthday, America!

Happy 4th of July!   Today we celebrate our freedoms as stated in the Declaration of Independence and the birth of this great nation we live in. Last year, I wrote extensively on the actual document, so there is no need to do that again. But I couldn’t let the day go by without saying Happy Birthday, America!

Take A Moment Today …

Celebrating Women’s History Month

March is Women’s History Month so let the celebrating begin! This year I chose to highlight women who paved the way for the right to a fair and equitable education regardless of race or gender. Two strong ladies who made strides in education opening the door for more opportunity for ourselves and today’s youth.

My blogging journey began when my nest was almost empty, and quiet, now since it’s been full again, I have been suffering a bit of writer’s block. But I think I know the cause of this creative slowdown … the noise … JOYFUL NOISE! My beautiful mess has been getting messier, and I love almost every minute of it. Nothing is perfect in life, so you can’t love every minute. But, I am really good at rolling with the punches.

Life Goes On ….

Guess what I am not going to write about? While the country was polarized with the matters at hand, believe it or not, life went on.

Dear God,

I am sitting at my desk, looking out my window on this spectacular Sunday morning. The sun is just over the trees, and the sky is a serene, light blue, with a wisp of white. Our leaves have not changed yet, but one lone slurry of red in my sightline directly across the street.

Keeping A Healthy Balance

Happy Sunday! For the first time in 2.5 years, I didn’t post anything last week. I had to do it for myself and my well-being. Having been home in the last six months has taught me many things, and one of those is the importance of chilling out and keeping a healthy balance.
