Sunshine Blogger Award x2

I was blessed to have two Sunshine Blogger Awards bestowed to me in the last couple of weeks!  The love spread amongst the blogging community truly does bring sunshine to my life.   The is an award nominated by peers recognizing their fellow bloggers for their inspiring and creative blogs.  

My first thank you is to Jenni at the Housewife Hustle blog.  Jenni is a lifestyle and mom blogger who writes about everything from raising kids to mental health awareness to makeup to sex toys and body positivity.  Yup – I never know what is going to pop up on email!  This young woman has a lot to write about as she battles her own issues with being legally blind.  A strong woman who spreads love and wisdom to everyone no matter what your interests are!  I love reading her blog.

My second thank you goes to Catherine at Shatter The Silence/A Life Given To Me.   Irishgirl, as she is known on twitter lives in Massachusetts and writes her story of being abused as a young child and her struggle in life chapter by chapter –  a memoir of sorts that I hope will be a book one day.  She also writes poetry and her emotional pain is palpable.   Another strong woman who keeps going no matter what life has thrown at her – and it doesn’t end with the abuse – you have to read it to believe what she has endured. 

Both these woman are inspiring and strong, which makes the honor even greater!  Thank you, Ladies!

Questions from Jenni

1. If you could pick your favorite blog post to share, what would it be?  Marriage is a Labor of Love is one of my favorites – an honest look into our marriage.
2. What would your ideal blogging space look like?  It would be a big desk with cubbies for files and pictures of inspiration in a dedicated office.  Not my kitchen table
3. Do you have a blogger who inspires you or a blogger bestie you’ve connected with?   Yes – Amanda at a word from a momma bird is my bestie and Lynn from Out of the Fire.  We also chat on the side and through facebook.
4. What is your least favorite social media platform and why?  I don’t have a least favorite.  I get my most viewers from Facebook and Pinterest.  Twitter is a lot of fun but very hard to keep up with and IG was my least favorite, but is growing on me!  I think we get to know each better through the pictures on there.  
5. Do you have a blogging ritual or process that you do every time you start a new post?   I write it on notes, go to Grammarly really fast and then edit on WordPress.
6. If your blog led to a reality show or TV opportunity of sorts, would you do it? Why/why not? Absolutely! I have so many issues that I have dealt with and can bring awareness to so many different topics such as; special needs, domestic and child abuse, addiction etc …
7. Where does your blog name come from, and have you ever thought about changing it?   My name is Sandy and it comes out every Sunday morning.  I think that is self-explanatory!
8. What are your top 2 favorite blog niches to read and follow?  My favorites are actually the ones that don’t have one niche.  They talk about everything.  
9. What are your go-to blogging apps?   Canva and Grammarly.   But Canva is big!  Grammarly, I can live without but help catch easy mistakes I make.  
10. What is your best experience in the blogging community/online community? Worst experience?  I have to say that I don’t have any bad experiences with bloggers.   The worst experience I have ever had was being attacked verbally after a post I wrote about being a victim of domestic abuse.  I considered getting a restraining order and going to the police, but I didn’t.  I took advice from my kids who told me to ignore it and I did.  They were right because I never heard back again.  
11. What piece of advice would you go back in time and give yourself before creating your blog?   It has been a lot of hard work and I built it slowly at a pace I could handle. I did it my own way instead of listening to the ‘experts.’ I believe things work out the way they are supposed to, so I wouldn’t do anything differently.

1.  How often do you navigate to other Blogs & do you interact?  As much as I can!  I just finished catching up on 3/4 weeks worth of blogs.  I really try and do the best I can.  
2. Do your loved ones support your Blog?   Yes,  so many of my friends and family are very supportive.
3. Are you embarrassed of your Blog?   Not at all.  There have been a few things that I have been nervous about writing, but it wasn’t because of embarrassment.  
4. If you had a choice to Blog for life or publish one book for life… Which would you choose?   Although I am blogging in hopes of writing a book, blogging for life would be my choice.  I have met some great people and connections that I would have missed.  
5. Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall?   Fall – I love putting my jeans back on and it is my favorite sport season. 
6. Wine or Weed?  Can’t be both 😎.  Wine
7. How many websites do you share your Blog too?   None
8. How often do you Blog?   Once a week on Sunday
9. Favorite Blogging Platform?   WordPress
10. Do you agree 11 questions are too many? 🤣 Yes, but these were easy short answers – thank you!  Hahaha!
11. Any summer fun plans?  None – working on my blog to monetize it and take some writing courses.
