Blogger Recognition Award
I have been blessed by a couple of my blogging friends to have received some awards again! I have to apologize to them because I am so far behind on these awards, but appreciate this honor so much!
The Blogger’s Recognition Award is an award made of nominations by bloggers for other bloggers to encourage and support all of the hard work, time, and efforts that go into this bogging life. Trust me, this is a lot of work. Most of us don’t make much money on this, but we love it so much, we do it anyway! It creates a chain of recommendations for bloggers who deserve to be followed.
Award Rules
- Write a post displaying your award.
- Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
- Give a brief story of how your blog started.
- Give two pieces of advice for new bloggers.
- Nominate 10-15 bloggers who you believe deserve to be recognized.

Thank You Blogger Buddies
I would like to say THANK YOU to Erin from the blog, erinbabysteps for this honor. Erin is one of the kindest people I have gotten to know through blogging. She always has an encouraging word for everyone and is so supportive to other bloggers. She always takes the time to comment on blogs with thoughtful responses. Erin is a math teacher who currently stays home with her two little boys and she and her husband flip homes on the side. Her blog is about math games and teaching tools for children, how to flip homes and the process with advice on mortgage and finance options with some personal stories sprinkled in. Like me, she only posts once a week and I encourage you to visit her website and show her some love as she does to me.
I would also like to say THANK YOU to Stephanie from One Caring Mom. Stephanie writes real-life stories, inspirational blog posts, recipes, and blogging advice, to name a few! She has so much to offer and share with the world. As a mom, she shares tips on organization, parenting, and running a household. As a woman, Stephanie wants to show her love for everyone and bring awareness to topics that have personally touched her life, such as dementia and loss. A kind, strong woman who devotes so much time to her blog and wants to show everyone she cares! Thank you, Stephanie!
How I Got Started
I decided I wanted to write and put myself and my life out to the world. My hope is to enlighten, empower, inspire and educate others by talking about my crazy life with five children – each one so much different than the other. The one thing they do share is their big heart and sense of humor. You can read about it here.
Two Pieces of Advice for Other Bloggers
My biggest piece of advice, that I need to take for myself, is to connect with other bloggers! I don’t spend enough time on this, but will change that in the future when time allows. There is a lot of love out there and we all do support and promote each other!
I really believe it is all about quality! Quality of content, quality of writing, The rest will come if the quality of work is there.
I am going to do 3 … PINTEREST!! Pinterest brings so many people to my website with the least amount of work! I find that pins with quotes or phrases that people can relate to are the ones that work the best. At least for my type of blog …
Okay – 4! I see so many people trying to put a blog out 3, 4 or 7 days a week. Start slow! Start with one and build yourself up if you wish, but don’t burn out by doing so many at first. It is more work than most people realize.
