COVID … GO THE F*%K AWAY!

I am done … over it … We have all had enough! I had every intention of sharing more stories of extraordinary ladies for Women’s History month, but that isn’t happening. Life threw me another curveball and kicked my butt with stress this week. My brains are fried, and I can’t think straight, so spreading some love to the girls will have to wait until next week. Remember when my daughter had covid at college? Well, now it’s in the house.

COVID-19 and My College Student

I am all about bringing awareness, so let me tell you my latest life experience. A story of the words I was hoping I would never have to hear coming out of the mouth of any of my children; especially my college student who I can’t take care of … Mom, I think I have COVID-19.

A Few Thoughts and Having Faith

In eight days, my Isabella is leaving for her senior year of college. I was not too fond of the reasons why, but having this extra time with her because of coronavirus has been great.

I Had A Nightmare Last Week

I’ve been losing my mind again. I feel like I did at the beginning of quarantine; I am up, I am down, lashing out, and kinda going out of my mind. Life seems settled, and we are in a happy place, so what could be the reason? Why am I having nightmares?

Listening and Learning Through the Sadness

What a week! I am not going to lie, it had some great moments, but the sad definitely outweighed the good. I am not going to be very uplifting, but I am going to share a few things that I learned and do a bit of venting. It has to be done. It has to be repeated over and over to those in the back who can’t seem to hear. Or the people in the front standing at the pulpit who choose not to.

Honoring Our Freedom Fighters

Here we are at another Memorial Day weekend. The day we remember the people who have fought and lost their lives to protect our freedoms here in America, as well as many other countries around the world.
This Memorial Day will be different without the celebrations and barbecues that have become the norm, but maybe that will give us more time to take pause and reflect on the true meaning.

Sunday Morning Thoughts and the Birds

There are so many thoughts running through my head all the time. I am sitting in my backyard, listening to the birds chirp their different songs. One just landed on the grass a few feet away from me, danced around, and flew away. I am at peace.

Dear Mr. Cuomo; Your Constituents Need Help …

Very rarely will I get even slightly “political” on a blog or social media. But I have a little venting to do and don’t know how to get through to anyone. So I am throwing this out there. I lost my job on March 18th. My husband was shut down as a non-essential worker on March 28th.
