Welcome To The World, Aeden

Yesterday, I sent a blog about just saying “Fock it.” I was taking the day with my kids and not doing my usual up all night writing and editing. Near the end, I mention that God wasn’t putting any ideas in my head. Ultimately, I figured he just wanted me to take the night off. Well, that was it, but it wasn’t all of it. God had a bigger plan!

I left my daughter, Christine, around 11 pm last night and nothing was happening with the baby. At 5 am, our phone rang. We jumped up, hoping it meant that Christine was in labor. It was a very long week for her with on and off labor, but this was really it!! I had to get to her house so she could hightail it to the hospital, and about four hours later, this little bruiser was born!

God wanted me to get some rest because he knew I would need those few hours of sleep to get through the day. I am so grateful I was listening to that voice in my head. Sometimes I forget to listen, but he always sends a reminder and I am so grateful.

This birth was not without complications, so I didn’t get to hold him yet, but all is well and tomorrow is another day. I am so proud of my daughter for her amazing love and strength and my son-in-law, for being the supportive husband and amazing father he is. And, most importantly, for bestowing me with three beautiful grandbabies to love and cherish with all my heart.

Welcome to the world, Aeden William – Grandma loves you!

Happy Sunday night and much love always,

Sandy aka Grandma
